What is a vocation?
Vocation means a holy calling, God’s call or a choice. In a narrow sense, it points to a priestly or religious vocation for those called to priesthood or religious life. In a broad sense, “vocation” means a call from God to a unique way of life like marriage, an occupation, etc., for each and every believer.
Who is a religious sister?
Religious ‘bind themselves to the Lord in a special way, following Christ, who chaste and poor, redeemed and sanctified men through obedience even to the death of the Cross’ (Perfectae Caritatis 1)
Are there any conditions for entering the Congregation?
One must be a mentally and physically healthy woman under the age of 35 who has been baptized for at least three years, has received the sacrament of Confirmation, has a high school education or higher, and has the desire to live a religious life.
If I am in poor health, can I join?
Religious life is a life of service to others, so one must be mentally and physically healthy; if one is not healthy, she will experience difficulties herself in living community life. Thus, one’s health is confirmed through a medical examination prior to entry.
